What I am about to share with you is a vivid account into the world that once upon a time inspired the various folklore and legends throughout the world. This book is an introduction into the world of the Elemental beings or otherwise known as Nature Spirits.
In mainstream society the natural environment that sustains our lives is only acknowledged as a "natural resource" something to be exploited or harvested to gain profits and to make our human way of life more convenient. But in reality the forests and unexploited lands of the Earth contain so many diverse forms of living, breathing life that lies within and beyond the sight of the naked eye.
In this 21st century we are confronted with an vast array of distractions that shorten our attention span and dull our six senses. The high stress environment that most jobs and public education create only take us further from our center which knows no time and thrives only in the present moment. TV, Internet and the world of politics and media have become the method of how many of us educate ourselves on how to view the world. Fortunatly with the Internet we are the choosers of what we research and because of it being a public domain you are likely to find information on nearly every subject conventional or unconventional.
Some of you may remember what it was like coming in into this world. Early Childhood are often revered by people as special memories and perhaps a greater sense of self and personal freedom could be remembered when you attempt to remember those moments in your Youth when drama and fear were scarcely apart of your everyday consciousness. It is only as we gradually grow up, we find ourselves more and more in a world of unfamiliar to our hearts and souls. We realize that we may have to hide our deeper emotions out of fear not to express them, due to 21st century cultural conditioning and indoctrination we are retrained how to react and go about this world in a way that is acceptable to our parents and society. And gradually as many of us are put through that educational institution we learn that the younger we are, the less intelligent we are and that we must be educated on how the world works so we may succeed as business men or laborers for the system. In mainstream culture Parenthood has become a sense of superiority over the child, many parents love their kids but see them as less intelligent and incapable of abstract thought unless educated such in school later on. But in many rural cultures and ancient pagan traditions the Children were highly respected by the adults in their community. infants who were just born were seen as teachers and pure beings who had just arrived from the Spirit world with immense conscious purity and wisdom intact, un-fragmented by the everyday actions and struggles to survive in an adult body in the modern world.
Of course we can all tap into our inner Youthful nature with all of our maturity and practical awareness intact. And it is through this we can become fully conscious and unlimited in our potential as our egos and indoctrinations are stripped away from the outer layer of our psyche. But yet most of us live in a emotionally burdening 21st century world that ever attempts to delude and distract us from living in the moment. We are confronted by a system that schedules our lives and tells us what we need and when we need it. Deluding many into believing that their happiness and success depends on exterior means of gratification that relies heavily upon corporate jobs, schools, politics, media and financial wealth that will govern our happiness years down the road when we are "retired". And if any of us refuse to participate in this system we are labeled and thrown to the bottom poverty line of society.
The community was not governed by any dictatorships but rather by community consensus and the council of Elders. In ancient society every member played their role in equal harvesting and gathering of natural resources necessary to their survival, all while respecting Natures laws of balance and not depleting the earths resources. There were the Shamans, Healers, Builders, Artists, Musicians, Gardeners and Mystics and many more who found their place within the Clan. Everybody contributed their share to the greater community and no taxes or forms of rent was expected from the people who lived upon the Earth. The average human being used a far more greater percentage of their brain during those warless times when we lived closer to the earth and each other. All things were seen as Sacred and the knowledge came from the Wilderness to those who searched inside themselves for it. The teaching principle was based upon everyone learning from their own day to day experiences through trial and error with guidance from the elders.
Together with all of our unified resources globally and technologies we have the capability to create a entirely eco-friendly planet that hosts and nurtures all life in supreme balance. Visualize a garden planet where every community is localized and providing for itself sustainably without dependence on foreign or un-sustainable resources. And where excess resources such as food and goods can be fairly traded with foreign communities in a manner that does not exploit the Earth nor starve its families. At the current rate all life on this good Earth are under threat of imminent extinction if we do not change our ways and lifestyles to that which is closer with the Earth both physically and spiritually.
HISTORICAL PATTERNS
It has been said that history is written by the victors..
It has been said that our civilization today is the greatest achievement in human history. The entire globe is under satelite communication and nearly every settlement is embedded within the grid that relys on a worldwide economy to support itself. An economy that rely's soley on fussel fuels to meet its production standards.
Nations such as the United States have founded itself on principles of equality liberty, freedom and the right to choose your religion. All the while a silent genocide took place to build the foundations of this supposedly most powerful and influential nation on Earth. The educators within our school system do no speak of the many millions indigenous that were killed by the onset of Western domination that has spread from Europe. It educated that the Nazi holocaust during World War two was one of the most devastating in history.. When it is not commonly acknowledged that over 9 million European women were burnt at the stake by the hands of the Catholic and Christian church's throughout the Medieval era and as late as the 17th century in America. Not to mention the million of men who died in defense of their families and ancient customs.. There has been a great "domestication" holocaust that has spanned thousands of years until this very day. Tribal life is frowned upon and looked upon as something primitive uncivilized. I can trace this to the start of the Roman Empire which has a system very similarly structured to that of this modern civilization. There was a time on Earth when vast tribes, clans and civilizations were spread out across all of the Earth each resembling something unique and diversity was prevalent Diverse forms of religion worship and faith were practiced that all came down in one form or another to the honoring of the Earth and its natural elements and deities.
The Roman Empire was the first of its kind with its innovation, government, military to embark on the scale of world domination that it achieved Eventually its expansion into the deep mythic forests of Germania and the Celtic lands of Britannia brought out it's "temporally" fall. but that did not bring out the end of the mentality of exploitation, slavery and domestication behind what we see in modern civilization today..This signified the end of an age of wisdom and the start of an era of technocratic and scientific domination. We find ourselves increasingly on the edge of two worlds that contradict each other's laws and natural order of balance. Western Civilization plagues our natural world and exploits all that is Sacred, that which keeps balance which sustains our lives and future generations for all beings of Earth.
